Who We Are
ABOUT THE SPACE
The Space is a youth-led organization founded on 1 December 2022 by Myanmar young people committed to building safety, justice, and dignity for communities affected by conflict and displacement. We started with a shared conviction: that young people must have safe, inclusive environments where they can think freely, participate meaningfully, and lead the changes their communities need. That conviction shapes everything we do from emergency response to feminist leadership, from child protection to political dialogue.

Prevent violence and ensure social justice by promoting the collective action and accountable leadership roles of young people, including women, in political and social changes.
Our Values
These core values guide our work and define our approach to humanitarian action.
Justice
We are committed to promoting freedom, dignity, justice, and human rights for all. The Space works to reduce violence and strengthen access to social justice, particularly for communities affected by conflict, exclusion, and inequality.
Feminism
We embrace feminist values that promote gender justice, inclusion, equity, diversity, and shared leadership. The Space is committed to challenging harmful gender norms and creating safe and meaningful spaces where women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and marginalized communities can participate and lead.
