Who We Are

ABOUT THE SPACE

The Space is a youth-led organization founded on 1 December 2022 by Myanmar young people committed to building safety, justice, and dignity for communities affected by conflict and displacement. We started with a shared conviction: that young people must have safe, inclusive environments where they can think freely, participate meaningfully, and lead the changes their communities need. That conviction shapes everything we do from emergency response to feminist leadership, from child protection to political dialogue. Our work is rooted in the voices, priorities, and experiences of the communities we serve. We respond to the priorities identified by communities themselves from access to education and protection to humanitarian assistance, safe spaces for dialogue, and opportunities for collective action.
